My biological clock has been screaming at me lately. It is constantly reminding me that I only have four years and six months to get another baby growing in my tummy. The sickness, the bed rest, and the pregnancy induced hypertension that I experienced with my first child somehow seem not so bad now. What is going on here? Well, this article from Time was pretty accurate.
For now I will just be happy that it is spring and soon there will be a bunch of baby animals. I will leave you with a picture of years past when we had baby box turtles.
Baby Box Turtles |
I've actually been having the baby itch lately too. I have two and was on hospitalized bed rest for seven weeks with my seconds, so I'm not sure I want to go through that all again either.
ReplyDeleteBabies make you crazy. No doubt about that!
ReplyDeleteCute! You saw the babies I have. They're peeping very loudly right now, apparently having woke up from their nap.
ReplyDeleteLove this post Loki! I am digging the box turtles too!
ReplyDeleteThe turtles are cute. My "babies" are 16 and 19 now. No more for me.
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest turtles ever.
ReplyDeleteI may not be able to have babies, so I am glad that I could see your baby box turtles, lol.

That biological clock makes us less sane with every tick. Don't have to rationalize super cute baby box turtles though!
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet babies!
ReplyDeleteAwwww...pretty sure baby turtles don't poop as much. I Was thinking I'd have another baby before I turn 40 but if it doesnt happen I'm awful lucky to have the kid I have. And baby turtles. Now I want baby turtles instead ;)
ReplyDeleteMy babies are all furry and purry. And I don't have to send them to college! Love the baby box turtles. I've always wanted a turtle, but not sure what my cats would do with it??
ReplyDeleteTick Tock, I hear it too! Those turtles are so cute. :)

Babies are my fave thing in the world. I have four of them. I'd keep going but my husband cut me off. Good thing someone's driving this thing or I'd single handedly multiply and replenish the Earth.
ReplyDeleteI also did "B is is for Babies" on the A-Z challenge!
Aww, babies! I have one and one on the way. They make you crazy sometimes, but the good times outweigh them by a million! :) I found you through the a-z challenge...I hope you'll follow me back. :)

As a non-parent, I found this post and the article fascinating!
ReplyDeleteAnd about the ticking of the clock....it is getting REALLY loud for me lately! LOL!
Loooooooooove turtles. That pic is so adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a water turtle who I've had twice as long as my daughter. Was I delusional in taking on both, probably, but I also still find a lot of joy in them both. I often think about what I'd be doing if I didn't have my daughter and I think our adventures together are most likely a lot more fun. :-)
