O is for Opossums

If all goes well, soon I will be the owner of baby short tailed opossums!  Short tailed opossums are not the standard North American opossum that digs through your trash.  These creatures stay small and only grow to about the size of a mouse.

  8. I am so jealous! They are adorable! How hard are the to take care of?

  9. They are not hard to care for, they just need the same type of stuff any other mammals need. They need enough space, water, food, love, and someone to clean up after them. I will get a pouch to carry them around so they bond with me. :)

  11. We just got one for my daughter a little over a week ago. Her name is Olivia, and she is pretty sweet... not quite as cuddly as I would like, but once she gets into her pouch that we made for her, she'll stay there for hours. I fed her a scorpion the other day and posted the video to her blog at oliviathesto.blogspot.com.
